OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Lisa Bycroft
Lisa began her association with Therapetics in 2001 as Event Coordinator for a wine auction event. Since then she served on the Board of Directors and was tapped for the position of Exectutive Director in February 2005.

Lisa has a passion for dogs and the mission of Therapetics. She has trained and shown her own dogs in conformation, obedience, rally and agility. She also holds a BBA in Marketing from Northeastern State University and is approved by the American Kennel Club as a “Canine Good Citizen” Evaluator.

 

OUR TRAINERS

Mary Green, CPDT  
Mary Green has spent over 20 years training & showing dogs, earning many titles in obedience, agility, and conformation.  Mary has nearly 20 years experience instructing and behavior modification training.  In 1998 Mary began training with K9 Manners & More, and in 2001 made this her full-time occupation.  She is the owner of K9 Manners & More Dog Training Center in Broken Arrow.  Mary is a guest dog training expert for the KOTV Noon News, where she answers viewer questions about their pets' behavior.

In 2002 Mary and fellow trainer Kim Sykes began training assistance dogs, and working with owner/trainers of assistance dogs.  In 2004, she co-founded Hi Aim Assistance Dogs, Inc.

Mary is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, and a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.   She is a charter member of the Animal Control Advisory Committee for the Broken Arrow Police Department, and executive board member of the Humane Animal Rescue Team (HEART).  Mary is an American Kennel Club "Canine Good Citizen" Evaluator.

Mary lives in Broken Arrow with her husband and son, and their three dogs.

 

Kim Sykes, CPDT
Kim has over 12 years experience training and showing dogs and has earned many titles in obedience, agility, herding and conformation on her dogs.  Kim has been instructing for 11 years.  In 1998 she began training for K9 Manners & More, specializing in assisting pet owners so that they could better enjoy their dogs and training trick and specialized behaviors. After becoming "downsized" by the American Red Cross, where she was a service center laison, she is now a full-time trainer.

Kim has presented and co-presented seminars and workshops in Obedience, Agility, Assistance Dogs, Trick Training, Herding and Rally Obedience.

Kim is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. She serves as chairman of the Animal Control Advisory Committee for the Broken Arrow Police Department, and executive board member of the Humane Animal Rescue Team (HEART) and is a co-founder and executive board member of Hi Aim assistance dog group. Kim is a Pet First Aid instructor for the American Red Cross.  She is also a past board member of Friends of Felines, and is a current member and has held many offices in the Tulsa Dog Training Club.  Kim is an American Kennel Club "Canine Good Citizen" evaluator.

In November of 2003, Mary Green and Kim  Sykes earned the Level 1 certification through the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers (CCPDT), the first national certification for dog trainers in history.  They are the only two CPDTs (Certified Pet Dog Trainer) in the state of Oklahoma.

 

OUR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Cindy Evans
Cindy, a registered nurse by professional training, joined our team in January 2008. She has been a long-time volunteer for the Tulsa SPCA and lives with her very own Miniature Schnauzer rescue, Jake.

 

CLIENT RELATIONS LIAISON

Diane Hutchins
Diane began her association with Therapetics as a puppy raiser. She trained Chip, one of our Labradoodles, and now is partnered with her own service dog, Buster.

Diane lives in Mannford with her husband, Ray, and their black Lab Beau. She joined our staff in June 2005, first as Administrative Assistant. She transitioned to her current position in January 2008.

 

DEMONSTRATION COORDINATOR

Melanie Godwin
Melanie Godwin began her affiliation with Therapetics as an advanced trainer with Faith. However, when Faith - a fabulous service dog prospect - developed a seizure disorder and was deemed ineligible for partnering, Melanie suggested that we give her another mission as official Ambassador. Melanie and Faith now spearhead Therapetics public education efforts.
