Interested In Serving As a Puppy Raiser/Trainer?
Volunteers are the heart of Therapetics! We rely on their enthusiastic participation in a number of areas - including assistance with special events and fund raising, washing dogs, administrative duties and community awareness.
Some call this the toughest job you'll ever love. Puppy raisers/trainers are an extremely important part of the Therapetics organization. We rely on our volunteer puppy raisers/trainers to help our young dogs develop skills that are critical for becoming quality service dogs.
A Few of the Expectations of the Puppy Raisers/Trainers:
- Attend puppy raiser/training classes on a regular basis.
- Follow Therapetics training techniques and recommendations.
- Provide a safe, consistent and enriched social environment.
- Be positive and engaging to the public.
- Have fun with your puppy and our organization.
We ask that those interested in serving as a puppy raiser/trainer
attend at least two training classes and observe as a first step.
